Winter Warm-Up
Hakoura Collective invites you to an evening of music, food, solidarity, and collective action to raise vital funds for local community networks working on the ground in the southern Syrian city of As-Sweida.
We come together to honour and support the resilience of the people of As-Sweida; a community that continues to show us what it means to stand with one another, even when left alone in times of crisis.
A new series of duet performances by some of Amsterdam’s best musicians. Curated by Grond member David Mitchell, the new series will put together pairs of musicians for new and unexpected encounters, showing different approaches to the same instrument or unusual combinations of instruments, all with a common aim: to take musicians out of their comfort zone.
TEMPERATURA is a new concert series initiated by the composers/performers Jasna Veličković and Fani Konstantinidou. The series is focused on contemporary music from the Netherlands and beyond, aiming at bringing together all its current expressions.
Join us for the free Collective Care Learning Sessions – a day to explore how to rethink, create and sustain collectivity in these challenging times of increasing individualism.
There will be a sharing session with Gertrude Flentge (Lumbung Practice, Documenta 15) and Danielle van Zuijlen (Kunsthal Gent) about values, a somatic workshop with Marc Nukoop and Mazen Al Ashkar, a delicious Ethiopian lunch by Teferi and more!
Yung-Tuan Ku, percussion and Dominique Chabot, double bass, showing us how to improvise with plants.
Entrance on donation basis.
Every Sunday as of 30 November until 28 December 2025
Sunday Sessions
Come to GROND, hang out with us and wrap up your weekend with a family and hangover friendly session including live music, DJs, performance, storytelling and anything else we can think of to ease you into next week.
Every edition of the Sunday Sessions we open the bar, mellow sounds will permeate the space and each time we will have a varying program.
Orb weaver is a new musical trio featuring Grond members David Mitchell (electric guitar) and Dominique Chabot (double bass), and drummer Robbert van Hulzen. Improvised freely, but not free improvisation, the group creates long form pieces that evolve subtly over time, like the intricate and transitory webs of spiders.
We are organising ‘Stand with Sudan’ – an event in which we celebrate the rich Sudanese culture, in which we mourn all the victims and in which we will inform you about the situation in Sudan.
With a Sudanese lunch by Mohamed Alnoor, a performance by The Black Pharaohs and the screening of ‘What’s next?’ by SSMG.
