Every edition of the Sunday Sessions, we open the bar, mellow sounds will permeate the space, and each time we will have a varying program.
Last month, Orb Weaver invited Gijs Levelt as our special guest; we liked the experience so much, we decided to invite him back for more. Expect powerful long form improvisations with more than a hint of electric Miles and Jon Hassell – with David Mitchell on guitar/effects, Lorenzo Servali on acoustic bass/effects and Robbert van Hulzen on drums, Marc Nukoop on visual projections, and of course, Gijs Levelt on trumpet/effects and electronics.
The first edition of EMBER features visual artist Rosa Zangenberg’s eerie portraits and an ambient music set by bitcrush.
EMBER is a space to listen, create and linger. With a music set and a creative workshop station that are thematically centred around one visual artwork, each session invites the audience to sink in to observing visual art pieces, let their minds flow with the music and play with art materials to process it all.
