Join us on June 5th to
celebrate two years and ten incredible
shows at SAC Art Amsterdam.
What began in June 2024 as a quietly intimate gallery dedicated to contemporary visual art from India, South Asia, and the diaspora has since evolved into a vortex for dialogue and cultural exchange.
Over the past two years, we have presented ten shows with incredible artists while engaging with the Dutch art ecosystem through workshops and events with from the Rijksakademie, the Thami Mnyele Foundation, Buro Stedelijk, the Jan van Eyck Academie, and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie.
Alongside this, we initiated Art Night Thursday and hosted Chai and Conversations (with Tasty Talks), film screenings, live drawing sessions, tête-à-têtes, and dance and poetry readings.
To mark two years, we open ‘Come Eat With Us?’ while also launching SAC Art Amsterdam Collateral, an initiative supporting emerging and independent artists.
A group show in collaboration with Art and Charlie (Mumbai, India), featuring works by Deepak Dhiman, Reem Masri, Saviya Lopes, and Yogesh Barve.

In many cultures, a meal is far more than sustenance. It is a ritual of gathering, a space where relationships, identities, histories, and emotions unfold around a shared table. ‘Come Eat With Us?’ begins from this idea, bringing together artists whose works move through memory, domesticity, labour, identity, resilience, and loss.
Deepak Dhiman works through painting and personal experience, reflecting on vulnerability, identity, and everyday emotional negotiations. Read More
Reem Masri works across painting, writing, and installation, exploring land, memory, and belonging through works rooted in rupture, resilience, and continuity. Read More

Introducing SAC Art Amsterdam Collateral
We launch with ‘Alleged Meaning’, a one-night-only show by Hussain.
Supporting young and emerging artists has always been central to what we do. With SAC Art Amsterdam Collateral, we continue opening the space to independent artistic practices across disciplines. Working with acrylic and found board and canvas, Hussain presents a new body of work alongside an interactive walkthrough, followed by a DJ set, drinks, and snacks.
Free entry. RSVP to attend. 31 May, 18:00 onwards.
Thank you everyonewho has visited, supported, acquired art from us, and read our newsletters - we are so deeply grateful to have the chance to show cutting edge South Asian and diasporic contemporary art in Amsterdam.
A few words from Tasneem, our founder
“It’s been a wonderful and very gratifying two years. Aditi Singh trusted us with her work for our very first show, and since then we’ve had the privilege of working with so many beautiful artists. I always say that for me, the artist comes first - the art is always an extension of the relationship.
Inshallah, I hope we can continue doing what we are doing, one step at a time. This community has been so kind. Thank you for allowing us to do what we love.”
