Everything in the world depends on one another. The moon causes the tides, atoms smash into one another, causing reactions. Humanity is also part of this vast universe of interactions. Our communities live on land and consequently change it, while the land changes us — you, me, and everyone around us.
In the exhibition Art Park IV: Come Back to Your ___ (Nature/Culture), 11 projects explore how communities shape, or have shaped, the land through personal stories. By showing these rituals, we highlights the significance of diverse communities and cultural traditions and acknowledges their role in shaping our surroundings. The exhibition is part of an annual series launched in 2023, focusing on urban nature in relation to the Municipality of Amsterdam's plans to establish a park in the NDSM area.
The exhibition is curated by the artist Alina Bielun and our artistic coordinator Mulan Go.
